Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of CloverNews.cyou, an educational website focused on sewing, textiles, and garment-making guidance.

Last Updated: February 14, 2026

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By visiting, browsing, or using CloverNews.cyou (the “Website”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Website. These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and CloverNews Learning Ltd (“CloverNews,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), with a registered address at 2 Dublin Landings, North Wall Quay, Dublin 1, D01 V4A3, Ireland.

You must be at least 16 years old to use this Website. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian and that they have reviewed these Terms with you. Your use is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated by reference.

2. Educational Content Disclaimer

CloverNews provides educational information and workshop-related guidance for sewing, textiles, and garment construction. Content may include tool explanations, pattern-reading notes, fabric handling guidance, and technique demonstrations described in text. The Website is provided for general learning purposes only.

Sewing involves inherent risks, including injury from needles, rotary cutters, scissors, irons, steam, electrical equipment, and chemicals used in cleaning or pressing. You are responsible for safe working practices, appropriate supervision, and following manufacturer instructions for your machine and tools. If you are unsure how to work safely, pause and seek in-person instruction or professional advice.

Any results described in lessons depend on variables outside our control, including fabric composition, needle type, thread quality, machine condition, tension settings, pressing method, and individual technique. The Website does not guarantee that you will achieve a particular result or finish quality.

3. Description of the Website and Changes

The Website offers learning resources such as beginner guides, a fabric library, educational articles, and information about workshop formats. We may add, remove, or modify content at any time, including reorganising lesson pathways or updating terminology, without notice. We may also suspend or discontinue parts of the Website, temporarily or permanently.

We aim for clear and accurate instruction, but drafting errors happen. If you spot a mistake (for example, a seam allowance figure that conflicts with the rest of the instructions), please contact us at [email protected] so we can review it.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Website in a lawful, respectful manner. In particular, you agree not to:

  • Use the Website in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Website, servers, or related systems.
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network or breach security measures.
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest content using automated means (including bots) without our prior written consent.

We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that content will be accurate, complete, or current at all times. Any reliance on content is at your own discretion and risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CloverNews Learning Ltd and its directors, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your access to or use of (or inability to use) the Website.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Website will be limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) €100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or statutory consumer rights that apply to you.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless CloverNews Learning Ltd and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Website; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

10. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labour disputes, power outages, internet or hosting failures, cyberattacks, pandemics, government actions, or failures of third-party service providers.

Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to contact us and attempt to resolve any dispute informally for at least 30 days. You can reach us at [email protected]. Include a brief description of the issue and the outcome you are seeking.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Website at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, attempted to compromise the Website’s security, or used the Website unlawfully. The following sections will survive termination: Intellectual Property, Disclaimer of Warranties, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, Governing Law, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CloverNews regarding your use of the Website and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements or understandings.

17. Assignment

We may assign or transfer these Terms (in whole or in part) to an affiliate or successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganisation, or sale of assets. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent.
